Setting: in a grassy/overgrown yard outside this old cottage-y-looking building, very old looking w/ peeling paint n' stuff. My friends/family were there, but had gone inside. I think there migh've been a gass-station or a Carl's Jr. across the street. The house and it's yard were wildly over-grown with grass and flowerless honeysuckle, but everything else around this particular lot was barren and dusty, though I only briefly saw it out of the corner of my eye.

There was a huge (and old-looking) tree on the right side of the yard that bathed the whole house and most of the weed-ruled yard in a plesent shade.

Tree: bark was the same color as the house, its leaves were aproximately the same color as the grass but blue-er and shaped like long eucalyptis leaves, and there were millions of nearly-michroscopic blueish-purple flowers that hung in tiny grape-bunches only a few inches long.

Me: I was this scientist-dude who was studying flight, and had had discovered how to fly w/ my arms. ...my hair was short and dark/black, cuz for once, I was someone who wasn't even /suposed/ to be me!! 0_o
(but at least I got a labcoat..........yay! labcoats r cool! The image “http://images.neopets.com/neoboards/smilies/grin.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
*nodding viggorusly*)
Everybody was inside, and I would've been too, except they wouldn't let me fly in the house. (darn!)

Well, I was flying around; over the house, halfway around the tree, crashed, took off again, glided the rest of the way around the tree then back over the house.... and that's when I realized that I could fly better w/ my arms arched out in front of me (like one of those "balancing-eagles" that you balance on your finger or something like that), not stretched out behind me in a way that would make more sence since I'm a human being and not a balencing-eagle....and so I tryed it, but it didn't work as well, and so I returned to the other way of flying....

At one point or another, I crashed again and had a hard time getting back up again....I had to flap really hard, but I got it after a minute. ^_^
It was getting harder and harder to stay aloft. I think I was getting tired, but it's really hard to get tired when you're sleeping so instead, it just felt like I was loosing the hang of it. I gave up after a while and thought "boy that was fun!", and sat down in the grass half in the shade of the big tree to take a break and rest for a minute.
A moment later, I suddenly realized that it seemed as if animals that could only fly were as good at flying as animals that could only run were as good at running! It was only a theory, so I put my mind to work thinking hard, comparing and contrasting things that flew and things that ran, and the persentage they spent doing either (cuz some run/fly more than others)

(that all occured to me just as I was landing...then I sat down in the grass...)

CHAPTER 2:
Well, anyways... Eventualy my pondering became daydreaming, as the sharp vision of a dinosar running down a steep muddy slope in the rain sprang into my mind...

Dinosar: it was kinda like a rapter, but had an extremely short tail and was literaly nothing but muscles, skin, and dinosar bones...pretty freaky look'n. It's muzzle was huge and square, and it had reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaally super-long skinny (almost pointy) legs ending in extreemly tiny, almost spherical feet with four tiny, spherical toes. (feet = no bigger around than an old, American half-dollar coin)

...to be continued, but you're welcome to read what I have so far... ^_^

Sneak preveiw: I found this pic on the internet (isn't Allison absolutely talented?! She drew this. Great Work Alison! :D) ...and it looks very similar to a scene from the later part of my dream, except the clouds are black with veins of eletric-blue lightning, the wyvern is a sickley dark brown and it's supposed to really be some never-before-seen breed of taradactle, the rain is heavily-laden with ash, there tall clifs and caverns everywhere, crusty yellow-orange-red-pink-violate colored lavaflows inching slowly over the ground... And beyond/over the caverns, a beautiful calm-above-the-storm at the edge of the world........ *dreamy sigh* ^____^
(trust me, this isn't even half of it, SO HNG ON TO YOUR HAT!!) @_@

Ummmmmmm... well, it is now April 4, 2006, and I'm about to use this dream for a "give a speach about something that left a very vivid impression you"-assignment in English class tomarrow, so I thought I'd give it another (more efficient-ness-itized) wing...

So far, I think it's come'n guud. :3
(tis sitting half written on a pice of lined paper here on my lap)

... Ok I'm back. (and sopping wet, mind you) ^^

And now, ON WITH THE SHOW!!! =D
(boy orange pen is hard to read in the dark! ......creative pen-makers these days--- ugh! *huggles*) X-D

I was a scientist studying flight... I flew around and around a gient wisteria-tree in the front garden of an aged and over-grown cottiage that looked strangely like a five-star hotell inside. (they were expecting reletives and would not let me fly inside the house. *pouts*) I was a guy, had neck-length jet-black hair, and wore an open labcoat over my casuals. I noted how much easier to fly with arms positioned ahead of me, like a balancing-eagle toy, rather than behind me, like a jet. I soon exausted myself and sat down in the grass to think... There were two kinds of animals in my mind: those whos' specialty was running, and those who could fly. I pondered this, there in the grass, and began to daydream...

There was a raptor running in the rain and a something soaring in the sky above. The rain was freezing cold and full of ash; the steep muddy slopes were saturated, causing the running creature to slip and slide on its feet. But no problem; its long-legged, slender body was built for this!

The creature in the sky followed closely at break-neck speed. From my mind's eye I could see it had tiny legs-----good for nothing but a quick rest between flights------weras its wings were quite massive. Clearly, these two were polar opposites. ~_~b

The coal-colored sky was cast in a strange dim blue light; 'twas a solid atmospheric canopie of smoke and stormclouds. Why was there smoke, and ash, you ask? It was the end of the dinosar world.

Every icy raindrop contained a cubic-centimeter of volcanic ash at its core. The flying dinosaur stopped, rested, and then sprang to life again as the running dinosaur passed it by. They raced down the side of a near-precipice hill, where the latter needed only to stand on one foot and let gravity do the rest. The former just swooped. Now, they were really rivals; they were racing eachother and being concious of it; maybe even friends-----they were beginning to enjoy the thrill of it

Every icy-stinging raindrop a drop of fine volcanic powder at its core------that was not mud falling from the sky, but glassy liquid mixtures of

The two pressed-on, competing in a race
